Do you try hiding your baby pooch?
Ever been through a situation when you feel alienated from
your own wardrobe which used to have your favorite collections of clothing and
accessories? Trying to hide that flabby baby pooch with the parallel tops or
kurtis? A bit afraid of what your
colleagues and neighbors say?
Then you are not alone!! Congratulations you are a mommy now..!!
Women do gain extra pounds during their pregnancy and it may
take time to lose them as well. Some are
just lucky enough to lose it very quickly and others have to take some extra
effort to get back to shape. The fear of
being ridiculed for their extra weight gain often haunts women. The case is same even if you are a
celebrity. Remember how Aishwarya Rai
Bachhan was portrayed by the media for her post pregnancy weight?? Well I would
say it would make more sense if we just follow our intuitions rather than
worrying about what others say.
Following a strict diet and strenuous workouts soon after delivery can
harm your body and your baby’s health as well.
Slow and steady wins the race and it works well with new
mothers too. Yes! You need to be
patient with your concern over your extra weight or baby pooch. Let your body take some time to heal and let your soul
connect with your little one. Slowly you
can add the work outs and diet plans that would let you lose your pounds
without affecting your baby. It’s okay
if you are not able to get into those denims or gowns for the party. It is okay if you are to wear those straight
cut loose kurtis or tops. You are God’s
lovely creation, and guardian angel of your baby. You are a super mom and the world to your
baby.
It’s more important that you feel comfortable with own self
and your body which will help you build positive thoughts and make your life
better. If you are a working women
consider clothing that makes you feel at ease.
Eventually you will lose those pounds and start wearing your denim
again. For plus size women there are many clothing available online to choose
from that will help you feel comfortable. Some of the good brands in this section are
Goldstroms, Mothers Bay and for plus size apparels you may consider Alto Modo,
Denims, Divena, etc.

Be proud of yourself and your body! After all it’s the time
to celebrate with your baby. Your baby
won’t mind if you look fat or have a pooch, all that matters is the time spent
together and the bonding. Happy motherhood!!
With Love
